Your path to certification

Upon completing Level 2 EFT training, you are eligible to begin the Certification and Assessment process towards EFT practitioner accreditation through EFTinternational.org

As a Master Practitioner and Trainer, I have been coaching with and teaching EFT for over 10 years and offer a wealth of knowledge and experiences to share with you. Knowing that you bring your own wisdom and life experiences, this is a collaborative process, designed to build your expertise and confidence as an EFT practitioner.

This process follows the curriculum and requirements set out by EFT International. You will join an elite group of EFT professionals world-wide who have demonstrated commitment to practicing skillful and ethical EFT.

Download the complete description and pricing for certification, then give me a call to discuss any questions. I look forward to working with you and thank you for considering me for your supervisor/mentor to guide you through the certification process towards becoming an Accredited Certified EFT Practitioner.

EFT International EFT Training Process

The certification process is typically a self-paced time frame. Plan to finish your online exam, 50 sessions, case studies and recording requirements within 6 to 12 months of initiating the certification process.

You may elect to pause the certification/mentoring process at any time but note that resuming it again after 12 months may require a new agreement and may incur additional training and/or expense.

The introductory calls is designed to discuss your goals and expectations for certification. Once we decide on a plan, you make your first instalment payment and we set up the initial recorded session. This session is a Zoom call recording of you performing EFT with your volunteer client who has consented to being videoed. The session will be a full 45 minutes. This allows me to observe your skills in action to determine where to start in terms of your confidence and skill.

Ongoing Mentor/Supervisor sessions can be in person, telephone or Skype

EFT Student Membership and Online Exam

I suggest you join EFT International immediately and begin to use the resources on the website. You can download the EFTi Glossary of Terms and other documents to help you prepare.

After your second mentor session and exam preparation, you will be asked to write the multiple choice exam designed to test your knowledge of Level 1 & 2 foundational skills and concepts. This is an open book exam. You have three chances to pass (80% or better).

We will go over your answers during our next mentor call.

AAMET International EFT Training and Certification
50 EFT Sessions

You are required to undertake and document 50 sessions (or practice hours) with at least 20 separate clients. Each session must be a minimum of 45 minutes in length.

You are responsible to keeping a written record of names, dates, and number of sessions. You do not need to submit your records but will be asked to about specific challenges you encountered. Up to 5 of these can be self-administered EFT sessions – also at least 45 minutes in length.

These sessions ensure you are getting a range of experience with different people and issues.

4 Case Studies

A case study is a write-up (or recording), in your words, of how an EFT session unfolded, as well as a discussion of your experience. You will be provided the AAMET Case Study Guidance Manual on how to approach writing up case studies. The different types of case studies required are outlined below.

One Audio or Video Session & Case Study:

This is a recording of a full session with an individual who has given permission to have the session recorded and shared with me. Accompanying the recording will be your case study (as per the guidelines).

We will discuss the session following the submission and my review.

Two Client Case Studies:

A complete write-up of two multiple-session case studies that highlight your understanding of EFT, especially how you balance meeting people where they are with managing the EFT process.

Your write-up should include what transpired during the sessions, outcomes, what steps you took during the process and why you made them.

One Personal Case Study:

EFT requires that you document and share your own process with a complex personal issue – how you approached it, what happened, and ultimately how it relates to foundational EFT skills. This case study is about your willingness to address your own issues so that you can be fully present to yourself and your clients.

Guidelines are provided in the EFT International Case Study Guidance Manual

Ongoing Requirements

It is strongly suggested that you continue your personal education through reading, EFT related courses, performing EFT on yourself and working with an “EFT buddy”. You can connect with other EFT students and practitioners through the EFT International website to trade sessions.

Visit additional EFT websites including www.emofree.com, www.EFTuniverse.com to “immerse yourself” in the world of EFT. This will not only aid your EFT knowledge and skills, it will go a long way to making you a knowledgeable and effective practitioner.

To maintain EFT Accredited Certified EFT Practitioner status, members must fulfill annual CPD and supervisory requirements. Continuous Professional Development (CPD) is 30 hours of EFT-related study (videos, workshops, books, audio presentations, conferences, etc. Supervision/Mentoring is 6 hours each year (individual or group of 8 or less), in person or online with an EFT International Master Trainer/Supervising Mentor.

Working with Marlene throughout my certification was a very valuable experience. Her wealth of knowledge and keen intuition helped me to grow in my own personal development, while gaining the skills to assist others on their journey. Thanks to Marlene I feel confident that I provide the guidance and expertise needed as an effective EFT practitioner.

– Trina Markusson, AAMET Accredited Certified EFT Practitioner, Regina, SK

Marlene’s note: Working with Trina showed me the value of and leaps of insight that are possible when someone else is observing and giving you feedback on your EFT sessions, and how that accelerates your skill level well beyond the Level 2 training. Tina’s proficiency and effectiveness improved significantly, as did her confidence in working with more complex issues with EFT.
